IQVIA Healthcare – Hospital Newsletter
January 2021
Dear Colleague,

Greetings for the new year from IQVIA Belgium! We are here to support you through these challenging times and help you find new ways to optimize your hospital’s performance.  We are excited to begin 2021 with an opportunity to deliver better patient care, reduce staff workload and minimize avoidable waste. Adapted from a pioneering US concept, Forcea Health Command Center (HCC) is the first of its kind to offer Belgian hospitals a cutting-edge platform to optimally organize capacity management.  We are also continuing to enhance our established solutions. The new, upgraded Forcea Add-on DocAdmin Module, a supplement to Forcea HealthReport, allows you to present your hospital accounts even more efficiently, simply and clearly at the click of a mouse. Reporting to physicians has never been so effortless!  If you’re keen to find the path to measurable improvements this year, just check out these latest developments in the articles below.

Measurable improvements in bed and staff capacity with Hospital Command Centers

Hospital Command Centers (HCCs) have been a much discussed topic in recent years. Their data-driven coordination promises better patient care, reduced workload for doctors and nurses, and superior capacity management. In other words: benefits aplenty.

However, can a concept that originated in the United States (and specifically in the large healthcare systems) benefit Belgian hospitals? Forcea Health Command Center offers a positive response, both in terms of results and feasibility. IQVIA's new solution is being developed in cooperation with Belgian hospitals in order to achieve significant gains in bed and staffing capacity.

Accurate, Customized Reporting on Physician Earnings:
System Enhancements Increase Speed, Level of Detail
The process of reporting on physicians’ monthly earnings is very complex and can be very time-consuming due to the high number of distribution rules between pools and physicians; it requires precision, performance and confidentiallity. Forcea’s DocAdmin module is designed to provide all of them and has been completely rewritten to improve its value to the Business Intelligence team and/or Controller.

We’re happy to announce the following enhancements:
  • Any change to data tables in the hospitals operational systems will be detected immediately, and the new data will be automatically uploaded to the DocAdmin module without requiring any action from the user. This syncing ensures that the data will always be up to date and that you’ll be working with a single version of the truth.
  • Through a lot of technical and logical modifications in the management of the data, the process of uploading data has been significantly accelerated as well as the performance of the reporting even with the highest level of detail.
  • The link between DocAdmin and other modules for further verification and extended reporting has also been improved.
  • Generic measures and dimensions have now been replaced by measures dynamically generated and labelled in function of the data present in the source system, which are much more readable and ready to use for custom-made reporting to or even by the physicians themselves.
For more information on how the Forcea DocAmin module can expedite how you report physician earnings, or for more details on the recent updates on the system, please contact Alain Mosmans, Consultant for Forcea Health Business Services at Alain.Mosmans@iqvia.com.
